My family tree also has a Robert James Foster (serveral actually as they tended to name son's after fathers).
My Robert James Foster was born in TN and came from SC stock. I know that several of the Foster's moved north from SC after 1800 and I have found some in IL.

I hope to find the history of my family. My father was Robert James Foster borned 4 Feb 1925, Laury Station, PA. He was married to Dorothy Mae (Achey). I think is dad's name was Augustus U Foster and his mom was Lillian Foster. I know Lillian was born Jan 1st, 1900. That's how far back I know. I would love to find out more about my ancestorys.
