US MENTALITY STRIKES AGAIN

So... Solidarity? United we stand, divided be beg? Looks like the Amerikans were the ones begging. We were told that we were out until we got a UNIFIED CONTRACT across Canada/US (Hence, INTERNATIONAL steelworkers, useless pieces of crap) instead, the US sells us out when the benefits run dry and the going starts to get tough. You called people who were in hard times that went back to work scabs, I call you all scabs.

Looks like American mentality strikes again. Screw your friends, Screw your family, take care of yourself. I hope you all e whnd up like tyler. Doors slammed tight.

thats some attitude could you not come up with something better. You are stating we whine when wrong doing was done to us but who was it willing to stick it out CANADA you where the ones whinning. You know you have done wrong sold Canada out and all you can say is don`t whine we have every right to complain when we where decieved and mislead that we where all one. see I really feel bad for the canadian guys here,Ive spoke with certain higher ups in goodyear canada and know them on a personal level and had the canadians not stuck together with the united states they would have got the deal they wanted and this entire strike in canada would have been averted.

but no they stuck together and put themselves out only to be screwed.

I don't blame our brothers and sisters who voted to end this strike, the issue of Canada probably wasn't mentioned at US vote, I blame the Presidents of the US locals for not standing up in Pittsburg when we told goodyear we would not recommend acceptence.

So anyway, Boy am I glad I stood up with the americans to "protect" goodyear jobs. Why? Because I no longer have a job. Dont get me wrong, Boy, am I glad that im now unemployed to Tyler can close 1 year from now instead of the NEVER I was told that I was fighting for.

I made it a point to very nicely chop up my union card right in front of the rep before throwing the remenents in his face. I am done with the USW and goodyear. I hope that everyone realizes that unions dont give a **** about the working man as long as the ones in charge are getting paid full wage while we are freezing our asses off for $150 a week.

Mr. Jones, Wow! You stated that you were frezzing your asses off for $150.00 a week? Guess our American locals could start whining "Unfair" then cause our locals weren't even getting $150.00 a week! They were getting a $75.00 grocery card and a $25.00 gas card. So guess things differ on each side of the border don't they?

And to the one that posted that we didn't know what was being offered in the Canadian contract...that is totally true. I am glad that someone can see the full scale of this and realize that we as Americans didn't screw anyone over or see anyone out! I also have to agree with big bad wolf on how when so many countries are in crisis they never fail to call on America for help but then they never fail to call us Traitors when things don't go their way!

Once again this is between YOUR UNION & Good Year. Place the blame at the feet of where it should be placed!

this isn't canadian or american
this is BIG MONEY vs WORKING PEOPLE
the greedy corporations vs you and me
it's relentless and it's unending
there is an ongoing attack in all N.A. manufacturing
this was a setback to the international labor movement
we must continue to stand up to these greedy people with or without a union behind us

Imagine the US of A if there was the same kind of medical coverage as in Canada....**** it would be one hell of a sad state of affairs in the US. No one there would be working. Furthermore hey.. Southern *********** seemed to be in lot of forums while hubby was out on strike. What’s the matter can you not get a job to help out? Or is your fat southern ass unable to move from the computer.
