hammock safety

a friend got a ferret hammock for her chinchilla. Is this safe or will the chinchilla chew the fabric and possible cause an intestinal compaction?

Re: hammock safety

Hi Stacy, Thank you for your 'Forum' piece. Do check out the fabric of this hammock along with any other materials used for the product. Chinchillas will chew almost everything which is not always good for them if ingested said. Have a word with your vet or a local expert in the field of chinchillas. Common sense applied to pets is always a safe road to travel. Better to be sure than sorry. Best wishes. Roger. C.C.L.
