Poorly Leg/poorly boy

Hi,

Yesterday we had an accident with our little boy and he landed up at the vets to have his leg stitched back together!

Well, £133 later, the little so and so has pulled all but 3 of the nine stitches out and he is not looking so good today.

The vet has given me some cream to put on the wound twice a day and the usual Baytrail, which we were told to add to his water.

Now, I am worried about Piglet and his health. He seems to be cold today and very very quite - not like him at all - he has taken a raisen and some water, but nothing else.

The vet said he might have to have his leg (front paw) removed!

Seeing how Piglet has gone from a fun loving cheeky chin, to a ball of saddness is breaking my heart.

Obvisously we don't want him to loose his leg, but it might be the only way to save his life...so any suggestions, advice appreciated.

Thanks, Claire
Liz Arnold-Smith

Re: Poorly Leg/poorly boy

Hi Claire, What a nasty experience you are encountering - one I not heard of before! Poor Piglet, like humans he is probably not feeling too hot following anaesthetic. Keep a close eye on him and should you see his condition deteriorating take him back to the vet immediately. At least he took a raisin and some water, hopefully he will gradually get his appetite back and fingers crossed his leg can be saved. Claire we wish you all the very, very best and please let us know how Piglet gets on. Take care, Liz CCL
