CHINCHILLAS & OUTDOORS

If one wants to put his / her chin outside PLEASE, PLEASE be very vigilant. Not only ensuring that they are in a cool shady spot but that you keep an eye open for insects (which for some weird reason people seem to forget about?) or any other danger that may be lurking (i.e. are there cats, dogs or any other such animals around). Personally, I don't put my chins outside for all the above reasons, they are better off in their cooler chinnie room with external cage exercise closely supervised - as some chins do become rather zealous and this can cause heatstroke which often results in a stroke or heart attack. Take care, Liz CCL
