chinchillas and heat

I am hoping that someone will give me some advice. I have two chins, one is 7 month and one is 5 months. they are both kept in the same room of the house. My 7 month male is very heat sensitive when my 5 month old female is fine. any suggestion? Is this a common male trait. I live in a very rural area of upstate New York with no Vets that will see him. anytime it is warm he has a very hard time. but my female is running her ball and fine. help

Re: chinchillas and heat

Hi Linda Mae, Thanks for your posting on our 'Forum'. To answer your question go to our page entitled 'Archives', there you will find a piece I wrote on said subject. Think it's called 'Cool Man', it gives tips on keeping chinnies cool with hot spells of weather. You can email me direct if required on ...rogerwhear@btinternet.com Best wishes.
