Re: my first chinchilla..what it eat?

Hi Ebru, you should feed your chinchilla grass pellets and fresh hay fresh water if possilbe bottled, also a litte bit of apple NO NUTS it also needs light sand so that it can clean its self, lava stones for its teeth, and fruit wood, you can get all these things in your local pet shop, please let CCL know how things are going with your chin, regards for CCL,Ray Milne

Re: my first chinchilla..what it eat?

i find it really hard to get the normal grass pellets and some pets stores will advise you to use charlie chinchilla but stay way from this. i now use 2 different types of pellets- selective pellets from (science) and xtravital care + pellets which are great as both are to help with skin + coat, teeth, healthy hearts, digestive systems and prevent selective feeding. they are alot more expensive then the normal pellets but my chins go made as they think they are getting treat due to the different colours and i find they don't through them all over like the normal grass like pellets.
