So, when you probe deeper, into the electrons, protons and neutrons you will find they contain even smaller particles and are just as empty. But are they.
Of course not. Just because we can not see it does not mean it is not there.
But how then do we know things to be there we can not see. Simple. Because of the behaviour of the things we can observe.
Before Pluto was 'discovered' scientist already concluded there had to be a ninth planet in the solar system due to the behaviour of the other 8 known planets. Likewise did scientists conclude there must be a tenth planet in our solar system due to the behaviour of the 9 known planets.
Due to the behaviour of the even smaller particles within the electrons, protons and neutrons, scientist have concluded there must be other particles influencing them.
That's talking particles. How about waves then.
And so on and so forth.
We can only see so called liminous matter which reflects electromagnetic light. However, 95 percent, at least, of the matter in the universe is known as dark matter/energy. This doesn't reflect light and therefore cannot be seen by the human eye. It can be measured though, by its effect(s) on the 'seeable' universe.
What is called ordinary matter makes up some 4.5 percent of the mass. This can be potentially seen by technology, but only a minimal ammount has been observed so far - as far as we know that is.
The electromagnetic spectrum is only 0.0005 percent of the estimated mass of the universe and yet human sight can see only a tiny fraction of even those electromagnetic frequencies. Imagine how infinite(simal) the figure must be for how little of the known universe human sight can perceive.
Our eyes can only see one tiny frequency range of the electromagnatic spectrum called 'visible light': the colours of the rainbow between red and violet. Many animals can see quite a bit further into the electromagnetic spectrum.
Humans are virtually blind.
So, our eyes can only detect a fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum which itself is only 0.0005 percent of known matter/energy and still enourmous numbers of comatose people including 'scientists' ridicule the notion that other forms, other forms of 'life' even, very different from human life, could possibly exist. Unbelievable.
And these are the very ones who laugh at others. Hilarious.
Nevertheless, because most people believe what the 'experts' say, are practically forced to believe them -you know, 'education' and all that, this non sense is perpetuated in the public mind.
We're still caveman.

It's all quite understandable though. How are you going to convey, to adults, that reality as we perceive it does not exist in the way we are convinced it does? Notice the keyword 'convinced' -as in rock solid believe- here. That would be like trying to convey to a younster that Santa Claus does not exist after you first made the younster believe, by presenting all kinds of evidence, forcing it upon it even, Santa does exist.
For both, the adult and the younster, the process is the same.
The youngster, at a certain point in non-existing time will start exploring and thinking for itself and will be confronted by an overwhelming array of evidence contrary the earlier held believe. The younster has no problem with this process and will let go of the earlier held believe in Santa Claus and its believe in those who told it so as well.
The adult however, has become convinced [there's that word again] in its believes to such an extend that those believes have become rock solid reality. The longer a believe is held, to more 'fixed' it will become. The process of exploring, thinking for self, letting go has become a mere impossibility. Or so it seems. And then some more.
What was true for me yesterday is no longer true for me today. What is true for me today doesn't have to be true for me tomorrow.
'True' is fixed, rigid. When I cling on to 'true', I'm fixed. When I am fixed I will not go places, I will not develop. I will have confined myself much like the prisoners in the cave not realizing they are prisoners. To them, their reality is 'true', the real deal.
The maverick knows otherwise. The maverick boldly goes where others dare not go by going there anyway, exploring the apparent unimaginable : the alleged non-existing world outside of the cave.
The maverick has begun to realize, by observing the cave, there must be something other than the cave. Because if not, how then can there be a cave.
The maverick thinks outside of the cave, er ... box. |
