Message:		Hi Stuart, I am afraid I am at a loss as to where you are referring to. Would it be the houses in the old Twtil Square where now there are flats for the elderly? All I can tell you that this area was called Mount Pleasant Square when I was a lad in the 1930/40's. Mountain Street, to the left of the Square still exists and is definitely no 'slum area' in this day and age. There are old photos available and I suggest if you are so interested you request copies from the Caernarfon Record Office, Victoria Dock, but I have to warn you that you should be be prepared to pay £11 for a single photo. 7" X 5".
