I dont quite know why they put a lock on some posts???
But anyway I will keep you guessing on the lingerie company!! sorry no clues... I started the import/retail business almost a year ago. It all started from the past 3 years of trips to Thailand. I was always travelling with different people and just mentally tracked what kind of purchases they were making. We would always buy paintings made on Ko Samui and had in the back of my mind it would be a great import commodity cuz its hard to find good art at a reasonable price back home thats hand painted. Then about a year ago I was travelling with a buddy and we just decided that it was time to make it happen. Already had a few connections from buying art on previous holidays , so we started with those shops. It just blossomed from there and we keep making more and better connections, aswell learning from our mistakes. The hardest part is learning about importing to your country and shipping. I am still learning as I go. Sea shipping can be a little confusing at times. But the home decor side of the business is quite easy because most suppliers factories are located in Chiang mai. I still cant believe you have never been to the weekend market. Its fricken mind blowing.
I do know the restaurant you are talking about in Chaweng, It is very new and takes up alot of space. Unfortunately it was built on one of my favorite breakfast spots, so Im not a big fan of the place. I did eat there and the whole place doesnt seem to fit the area, also was never to busy when i was there last in May. The streets of Chaweng are undergoing some magor construction, oh heres a hint of the lingerie company, on the main street of Chaweng there is a lingerie store.....
Anywho, I lived in Aussie in like 1992-94ish something like that. The whole Aussie trip was started by a little travel fever I had gotten the year before when going through Kong Kong, Korea, Japan and of course Thailand. So to answer your question, the first time I was in Thailand was in 1991. I knew it would be a place I would always return, and have ever since...
