NAKMAS National Open Martial Arts Championships 2007
Hi All The NAKMAS Tournament Co-ordinator, Rick McElroy 6th Dan together with the NAKMAS Director of Operations, Sandra Beale 4th Dan, have worked really hard over the past month organising the NAKMAS National Open Martial Arts Championships to be held on the 25 November 2007 at London's Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. So please support the event and if any NAKMAS member has any ideas on any aspect of the tournament, we would welcome suggestions. Also welcome, with open arms, helpers on the day. Hi Terry NAKMAS Management Committee decided to keep the first tournament for some years, 'team free'. After this tournament, NAKMAS will send out feedback forms to NAKMAS chief instructors that attended the event to see whether improvements can be made and whether team events should be included at the 2008 NAKMAS Championships, Crystal Palace event. Hi Joe, Just wanted to know if the PU type competition mitts are permitted in the tournament or must they be the elasticated hand mitts? Regards Richard |

Hi Maggie NAKMAS does not support a womans knock-down event. This was based on medical evidence supplied to NAKMAS sometime ago, that repeated blows to a female chest area is a contributing factor to breast cancer. Kind regards Joe |
