...from what i was taught, one of the key rules to martial arts is to help other people, regardless how trivial the task may be.... but it seems that out of all the people who have read my question, not even one person could reply, not even saying 'nope sorry, dont know' its great to know how much honor and respect the martial arts world has these days so much it makes me sick. |

sounds to me you are very disappointed that no one replies to your message. It is wrong to judge the martial arts fraternity by just a few that have past your message by. I was always taught that the if the student is given the answers, they never truly understand the question. Edinburgh is a very large city and with access to the internet I am sure you will find what your looking for. Your destination is not important, its how you get there. Good Luck |

dude, im just miffed cos ive met so many sensi's, who are only out there for profit when i open my school of martial arts, it will be open to all, regardless of ages, funding, race...etc also, i was just really looking for a place to test myself, but its all good, i prefer to learn the same way the masters who made the martial arts did, by making it up as they go along ahh well, cheers for answering anyway, i'll go look somewhere else ohh and sorry again for loosing my cool there, im a great student in the art of peace, lol. |

Nice attitude Liam! Maybe you should think a little more about humility and respect before referring to people as "dude". Just a small correction in the way you place postings may have gained a better response maybe? |

Oss Sensei. Some of us learn it is agreed - Liam however, may take a little longer with statements like "so much it makes me sick". 'Hitotsu! Jinkaku Kansei ni Tsutomuru Koto' as the Dojo Kun quite rightly states. Maybe once he has "learnt martial arts the way the masters did - by making it up as he goes along" he may invite some of us to train with him for a small fee? Most of the Karate-Ka I know however, have learnt their systems through hard training. I will be very interested to see what he develops. Maybe it will be something us 'old hands' have never seen before but I doubt it...... Yours in karate-do (speak to you soon my friend) Kelvin Boyce |
