Getting Back to Active Lifestyle
Hello everyone. I'm new here so I'll briefly tell a little about myself.
My urinary incontinence stems from a congenital defect of the urethral sphincter which has caused other difficulties as well. I'm 53 years old, so now I'm also dealing with prostate issues which are a problem I inherit from my father.
I've been using diapers for a long time and they really haven't inhibited my lifestyle. My family have known about it for a long time, my kids don't give a hoot about it, and it hasn't been a problem in my relationships. The only area that's a little iffy is things like going to the beach, the gym, business trips where I have to room with someone, etc.
Mostly I just avoid those situations, but it upsets me a little to curtail activities that I might enjoy, or to make excuses why I can't go on a trip. After all, I'm very young looking and acting for my age, and in most ways I am very active and not a couch potato.
Does anyone have any suggestions they may have found useful for travel or public locker rooms or whatever?
Nice to meet you all. Oh...and does this forum have a name? I was referred through a link on the Alltogether Diaper Co. website. Is that how everyone gets here?
