Long Bucky- Vital Win
Desborough warmed our hearts with a fine 2-0 win over fellow title challengers Long Buckby.After a pretty even first half,ending with a fine save from both Michael Evans and the Buckby keeper,it took until the 12 th minute of the second half before Byrnesy gave Ar Tarn a vital lead. Shortly after that,he appeared to have strained his groin. The efervescent Caswell earned a penalty omly for Gilly to pass to their keeper.A couple of minutes later,new signing Paul Doherty opened his account after continued pressure gave us a well deserved second goal. Great performance and one that the watching Stotfold management team need to take as a warning that the season still has a long way to go. |
